Tape will be your new best friend, should you want the stripes pretty crystalline and do not need to control your brush perfectly well. Apply a top coat to make them smooth and they embed on.
At-home, I use a simple technique which I explain: You paint the nude accent nails of one nail, cure it, and then apply tape in a diagonal fashion and paint it orange in the exposed areas. Curing, peeling then adding another layer of thin orange can be added only to increase the opaqueness. The solid nails are no problem – two coats of orange, two coats of cure, topcoat, done.
I continue to refer to this as it makes me feel like orange nails summer is in a more put-together manner. It is entertaining, it is obviously graphic, yet it all compensates since the nude foundation makes it relatable.
Classic Glossy Orange With One Floral Statement Nail
This is the manicure I will suggest when one claims that she wants nail art, and yet wants it to be classy – simplicity on the nails red all over, but one nail is to have an accent detail decoration of a simple white flower, which is fresh and clean. This orange is not bright enough to make it look neon-highlighter, so it is very wearable, and the flower is such an addition that it adds just enough specialness. It is an adorable precious augmentation of the conventional.
In terms of materials, I would restrict myself to the following: an orange gel polish with high opaqueness, an opaque white gel to form the petals, and a small dotting instrument to form the center of the flower. Use of a fine liner brush is useful in shaping of the petals so that they do not appear chunky. A single glossory on top of all that is a well-coated finish that gives that fresh manicure look that makes orange even glossier.
When florals, I do this at home I will paint and work on the orange nails first, because I am not distracted. I will loosely apply the petals on the accent nail in a somewhat disorganized fashion – flowers may be perfect and still be stiff when it comes to painting them. Cure in between layers then top coat sparsely with the detail not getting lost in the lot.
This one is the most comfortable one in an attempt to dip into orange nails with design without necessarily investing in the whole set of patterns. Also – it is cute with an iced coffee in my hands, and I do not work out the rules.
